When the trainee and supervisor went to court, they pleaded not guilty and tried to blame the pilot for the incident. At first I thought maybe a jail sentence was too harsh but they clearly showed no remorse so fuck them

The only issue here is that he said it could've been the worse disaster in aviation history, well 2 747s already DID crash into each other off the coast of Spain back in the 1970s or 80s can't remember exactly. It was a KLM flight and someone else. Great video tho!

The TCAS system ALWAYS overrules ATC! Any decent pilot knows this! If you keep decending your plane to a cleard level with a TCAS screaming at you to climb then you are just as much to blame as the ATC person.

Part of the issue here was that the pilot had TCAS telling him one thing and the controller telling him something else. I'm virtually certain that regs have been changed to mandate that pilots abide by TCAS no matter what.

In 2004 I was flying into Chicago Ohare. As we approached I saw the shadow of another jet zip across our right wing. Ohare is one of the busiest airports in the world. Near misses happen way too much, they just never tell us. We flew out over lake Michigan around the Sears tower, and then made a hard left turn back towards the airport.
